Inaside Chicago Dance’s For the Cause 2009
Two great causes, one amazing show!
Inaside Chicago Dance presents its 4th annual benefit performance, For the Cause. This year Inaside brings audiences another amazing and inspiring show while contributing to TWO great causes! They team up again with Gilda’s Club Chicago, a free cancer-support community, and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, devoted to leading the fight against AIDS/HIV and improving the lives of those affected by the disease.
In order to honor these amazing organizations Inaside has brought the best of its repertoire and four world premieres! ICD’s Resident Choreographer, the world renowned Eddy Ocampo presents an exciting new work for the stage. Artistic Director, Richard A. Smith, and recurring guest choreographer, Autumn Eckman, bring their talent with two new pieces. Returning to the stage is the Youth Trainee Program(YTP), a carefully selected group of young and extremely talented dancers from the surrounding Chicago area. The Inaside company demonstrates their diversity and range in pieces such as Elijah Gibson’s quick yet uniquely fluid “Just Another Day…”, Lisa Scurlock’s jazzy and feminine “Float”, Amanda Farrar’s whimsical love duet, “Long Story Short” and more!
Come and support these two great causes while seeing one amazing and inspiring show!
